Downloaded League to install, get to the part where I need to download files, and it just sits there forever, with no progress. How can I fix this?

I have been having the same problem all day. I have restarted computer several times and uninstalled/reinstalled several times with none of it helping.

I had to use an external hard drive, and download it on a different PC. Unfortunately now I have the "We are unable to log you in because you may be offline". I don't understand why this even happened. I had the game installed and it worked fine, then this patch comes out and I cant connect to the servers? It's not my firewall, because I turned it off.

Okay I solved it. "Go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc and open the file "hosts" in notepad Then delete "23.74.24.114 l3cdn.riotgames.com" from the bottom." You will probably have to run notepad in admin.
