Issues Opening League

When I click into the league of legends icon nothing will ever open rather than opening and closing like before it will open and just act as if league is loading. The only thing that pops up is a window with a League of Legends "L" in the middle of the screen. Dear Riot please help me figure this issue out I do not understand why it will not work and I would like some help

This is likely due to something blocking League's connection from your computer to the servers. Grant League permission to run on your computer!

I was having this issue when league had had a connection issue. There were multiple instances of it in my task manager, closing all of them and relaunching the game fixed it.
