League not supported on Windows [CLIENT]

I went to open league which had been fully functional the day before, and I encountered an error screen. When I clicked on the league icon on my computer, this error popped up without any league screen opening, saying C:\Riot Games\League of Legend\zlib.dll is either not designed to run on windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0xc0000020. This being said, I did completely uninstall league and reinstalled the program, and encountered the same problem. What is the issue and how can I fix it?
