Draven : Axe pathing really messed up patch 6.22
Hello all, I have noticed since patch 6.22, a few things have changed for the worse about Draven's axe pathing and it really troubles me that Riot clearly changed something (intentionally or not) and have not said anything or addressed it with even a footnote. I have more than a thousand games on Draven across several accounts and I am very familiar with every detail of how his axes are placed depending on different actions taken. So---
BEFORE 6.22: Standing Still: 2/3 or even 3/4 Axes will land on top of him if standing still while the axe is thrown, regardless of distance between Draven and the target, OR land to either his right or left side. Moving: Axe will go in the direction of the move command unless the target of the attack is in melee range in which case it will fly in a random direction.
PATCH 6.22: Standing Still: 2/3 or even 3/4 Axes will land to either his right or left SIDE or in front or behind him (this may be due to Draven randomly facing a different direction when the axe is thrown which I've noticed happens sometimes but not always), regardless of distance between Draven and the target, OR land directly on top of him. (Basically the likelihood of whether it will land on top of him or to his sides seem to have swapped And now axes can land in front of behind him as well) Moving: Axes behave similarly to before, however the axes are sometimes being placed in really bizarre places due to issues of Draven changing directions hes facing while he throws the axe, or minion or even sometimes turret hitboxes interfering with pathing (which never used to change where his axe would land, you just wouldn't be able to get to the axe due to minion block).
That pretty much sums up the changes I have noticed- there are some minor issues I have noticed where axes I would have caught before 6.22 are dropped now but it does not happen too often and its pretty subtle. I really hope Riot sees this because Draven is my favorite champion and with the changes to armor pen, I already have to deal with changing my build but this is too much.
