"UPDATE FAILED unspecified error occurred. Please check the logs for more information." I get this message every time I try to open League. I tried using the common solution on youtube and deleting the projects folder but that didn't work and neither did deleting only the patcher folder within projects. Help pls
I have the same problem except it says 1 file scanned and does this for about 30 minutes before showing the update failed error

Same issue and have never had anything like this happen previously. Tried everything I can think of and some of what support has suggested so far. I'd be very surprised if it turns out this is, in fact, something on my end.

Guys I have a solution that worked for me trust, I spent Thursday when I cam back from school all the way until now which is Saturday to find a fix and it is very simple. This unfortunately takes some time depending on your computer but this is kind of a last resort if you are tired and don't care about time then do this. First what you do in download Hextech repair tool and then re-install league from there but if don't want to through trouble to get hextech repair tool then what you do in uninstall league normally and then once league is officially uninstalled go through you folders and delete everything that is linked with league which will take some time but if you use hextech repair tool you press uninstall and it instantly goes through your computer and deletes all league related stuff. Anyways once you delete and league content just re install league and the second the league client comes up and starts to download instantly click repair, this will take awhile but it will worked trust me this is especially good to do if you are going out somewhere or even if your going to bed you can let this run overnight and when you wake up you will wake up to a nice beautiful big juicy yummy giant orange launch button
