Heals and shields on minions, soraka and karma.

I'm not sure if this is fixed but a week or so ago I was playing support and was trying to heal and ally with soraka and healed a minion on accident due to smart cast not always being so smart, anyway my ally died and asked me why I didn't heal them. I told them I was scared more for the minion death. Also with karma I've accidentally shielded minions before. I don't think this is supposed to happen and if it is I'm not sure why that would be unless its there to stop enemies from farming but at this point to me it had done a lot more harm than help when I've played.
