If you accidentally drag your Q to your map you go in the direction of where your mouse is on your screen. I don't see how you would ever want to do this so I'm guessing its a bug that happens to me a lot.

unfortunately is intended. Nidalee behaved the same with her dash until Riot made a quality of life change. Pretty much every other champion behaves the same as Vi thou so is indeed intended.
