Frames freezing since pre-season update

I've been having frame issues ever since the pre-season patch came out. I run a consistent 80 FPS (capped) on highest settings when playing usually. I have a GTX 1070 Max Q and an i7 CPU, never had any issues with running the game before on these settings. But now every probably 15 seconds a single frame will free for 1-3 seconds and my game will then have to catch up and will skip around for a second or two after it unfreezes, including minions jumping around out of line where they'd never usually walk. Anyone else having issues like this/have any possible solutions?

Same issue here. Even happens in TFT. I have a GTX 1080 and an i7 with 32 GB RAM. Started with new patch. Ping is stable. I have tried: Restarting League Restarting computer Checking files for corruption updating drivers Updating OS

I will try: Uninstall and reinstall client Checking to see if my computer has teleport equipped

Let me know any other ideas to fix this. I will update as I try the fixes.

Same issue here, have no idea what is causing it. I have a super beefy PC and now every 10 seconds my game completely freezes on me, literally unplayable. Only started yesterday.

Having the same issue since the update. Makes games unplayable as the freezes happen randomly and especially during fights. Super annoying. Have updated all drivers and reinstalled the game no avail.

+1 - Issue happened to me too. Tried a full repair and it still didn't fix the dropping frames.

I'm running 2080Ti. Drivers are fully updated and I even tried to optimize to League game settings. Working with an i9 processor too.

Riot responded on Twitter to someone saying to try closing/uninstalling Blitz App. Blitz App claims that Riot is looking into the bug currently.

I've been running this game on a toaster since 9.14, was doing just fine until patch 9.22 hit.
