Spectating Bug

I decided to spectate a friend's game, however the game crashed as soon as I started spectating and I was left with the client, being half-functional, not allowing me to enter any game or try to reconnect (it said i was removed from the party). I closed the client and tried again and again, still nothing, a non-functional client, removed from the party etc. A similar thing has happened to me with TFT, (I've posted a discussion about that and got many replies saying "same thing happened to me") so in my experience I wont stop till my friend's game ends. Riot please fix your client, it's been 2 years. Any suggestions to fix this?

''UPDATE'' My friend's game has ended, and the same things keeps happening. At this point I cant play, at all.

I'm having this exact same problem. I can't join any friends' games, even though their game has ended. Also, in order to restart the client, I had to go into task manager and dig deep to cut off the right process, a rare occurrence usually.
