Malzahar suppression bug vs Jax (Gameplay)

So I just got out of a ranked game as malz and I was top laning against Jax. Every time I would ult him, he would break out of my suppress early. This happened both 1v1 and in team fights. He never had quicksilver sash at any point in the game and I kept checking each time he broke suppress early. His build was Randuin's Omen, Titanic Hydra, Hextech Gunblade, Sterak's Gage, Trinity Force, and Mercury's Treads. Is there some bug with any of these items that might cause this to occur? This is the first time I have ever experienced this going against Jax. Any thoughts would be most helpful.

Did he jump on you with his delayed stun active?

only about twice, other times, his stun was on cd

its shortens the suppress that much? it didnt use too

Out of curiosity did you accidentally click as if to move or use a summoner spell like summoner 14 on him? If so that would explain why it was shorter then the 2.5 seconds.

His ultimate is a channeled ability and as long as he doesn't get interrupted it won't end until it is supposed to end. This means accidentally clicking to move or to cast a summoner spell WILL interrupt the channel and cause it to end early.

Tenacity doesn't shorten the duration of suppressions.
