Hey guys, back in season 8 when I leveled up my smurf (d2 main) and went 10/0 I got plat 3 which was very time saving. Now on my new smurf I got Iron 1. I understand how the system works on a fresh accounts but will they change it or no matter what you will get placed in iron if you are on a fresh account? if that is the case smurfing will take around 70 games to reach diamond lmao
It was a bug in 8.24 patch. If you are not playing with Iron players in ranked, send a ticket to Riot support asking them the correction of your rank.
We’re planning to correct this in 9.1, so returning players who play placements after that will seed based on their MMR. Starting next week, players who completed their placements in 8.24 and ended up miscalibrated (e.g., Bronze rank but playing in Platinum or Diamond games—sorry Rush) can open a ticket with Riot Games Support and one of our agents will help make corrections. For players who don’t, that’s ok—the issue will correct itself during the season reset.
