This might not be a true bug but need confirmation

I have noticed, primarily as a markman (where it can be the most noticed, especially as vayne or cait [even more noticeable]) that some times when you die from long range or someone flashes away after an ignite. that your aa physically connects but does not register at your death. and why I say i notice most on vayne or cait is due to their passive, if a squishy target has very little hp, the last proc of vaynes w, or the headshot from cait. SHOULD kill or nearly kill them, but their hp did not move at all. perhaps it is intended. but every other damage dealing thing i have done on death, has taken effect, such as, ahri q, i die, ball return still kills enemy. I believe even on cait if you die AFTER firing your ult, the ult will still connect.

So why is it a lot of times AA will not connect after death?

Edit: lets not forget that a minon aa will follow u all the way across the map if you can out run it..
