Not to Rush anyone trying to resolve the issue but i was wondering if there is an estimated time for when the constant crashing on all game-modes and the translucent red shop background for the mac would be fixed so i can hop back on the rift and play!! 
Mac users come last in the chain of things that get fixed in league of legends. Maybe in a few days when the bilgewater event ends they'll look on forums and see some people can't play the game.

They don't give a shit about the Mac users. I have a Mac yet it somehow works perfectly for me.
My computer is freezing, but I don't know if my problem is the same as yours. My computer wanted some updates installed, so I did them then loaded up the client and bam it froze. I restarted my computer and again like the first time, the client took longer to launch, then after I sign in, my computer freezes. I can't move my mouse, open task manager, or anything. It keeps doing it whenever I load the game but works fine if I don't have it open.
its been lioke 2 weeks for me and i keep crashing after champ select on mac im so tired of it I've spent to much money on this game for it to go to shit
