Probably bug with Kog maw or 3v3, or beginner bots , or all

So, if W ceases while attacking tower/inhi/nexus Kog maw goes to close combat reach, rather than his max basic attack range (there was also a few occassion where attacking a champion when you are under a turret and other champion is under a different turret , you bring the aggro of the turret you stand under, happened 2 times near nexus turrets once when attacking fontain, and once when atacking from inhi to nexus tower, not sure if above 1450 range)
