Demoted from Diamond IV to Plat 1 (it has only been 17 days)

UPDATE

UPDATE: As of 9:21 PM PST, I just finished playing a normal game, and then it brought me to a screen and said I got promoted to Diamond IV. So it's fixed now YAY! Hopefully you guys get the same treatment too.

UPDATE2: I'm back to Diamond IV, so I played a ranked game. I won and got 13 LP. However, while my profile still says I'm in Diamond IV, when I go to the "ranked" tab, it shows I'm Plat IV 13LP, when it's supposed to be Diamond IV 13LP. So it's still glitched.

I hit diamond IV on March 18th. Today is April 3rd. It's been 16 days. This morning I logged in and it said I was demoted to Plat I. I was very surprised because 1) it has not yet been 28 days 2) it did not warn me like it used to that I need to play a game or my LP will decay.

Please look into this because it seems I'm not the only person experiencing this it seems. I submitted a ticket already; I will not play ranked at this time as I am going to assume it's a bug via the new patch. Will wait to see what a Riot person will say. I poured countless hours into ranked play to hit Diamond IV; this is very upsetting. Please explain when this will be fixed, thank you.

Taken directly from ranked play FAQ, "DECAY Diamond, Master, Grandmaster, and Challenger are all subject to decay. In Diamond,** after 28 days of inactivity in any ranked queue**, you'll begin losing LP based on your current tier. Every seven days after that, you'll lose LP until you play a match in that queue. Diamond players lose 50 LP each time they decay"

Me too. I just hit Diamond 4 about 2 weeks ago. I did not play ranked ever since, and when I logged in today I was demoted from D4 to Plat 1. What's going on? I didn't get a message about ranked decay or anything. Plus my MMR is up there. Hopefully this is addressed soon. Definitely has to do with the current patch (9.7) [cass-cry]

Glad to hear this seems to be a large scale issue. Riot please provide an explanation to us for when this will be fixed.

First of all-- I'm so sorry. I couldn't imagine being demoted over a bug after putting the effort in to climb. I seriously hope Riot fixes it, because this is BS. Also having a similar issue to other people posting though, last ranked game was 7 days ago, was told this morning I have 2 days to play another ranked game or risk demotion.

I was Diamond 4 and decayed for no reason either. I didn't even get a notification saying it was close to time for me to play a ranked game. My last ranked game was on March 15th.

Seems like everyone who hasnt played ranked in about 2 weeks got early decay. Which is a bug

same thing happened to me, D4 -> P1 (75LP) and I've NEVER got any warning message at all... wth. I'm gonna be pretty mad if I have to grind for it.

Same thing happened to me.

I got hit in both flex and solo queue, but my flex is still diamond so i guess that's something.

Riot normally doesn't directly adjust rankings or MMR. At the end of the day you'll probably have to grind again.

D4 here: Okay today I logged in and it told me I had 2 days left to play a game before decaying. My last game was 3/25. Should tell me 9 days before too, not 2.

same problem here, just had a live chat with riot and they said this is just a bug and they are fixing it right now, its kinda sad since every patching have a lots of bug

Same here, was so close to d3-d2 promos and then they moved everyone down 1 division. Now its d4-p1 which is worse LOL >.> summoner 4

Riot got back to me and said they are aware of it. Told me don't play ranked as of now; and told me to message them again if there isn't a fix by tomorrow.

They better fix all the affected players' rankings. It's not something that can just simply compensate by giving free blue essence or free skin. The drop of a tier can cause a player to have to play 10 or 100 more games before they reach the next tier again, which could mean countless hours.

i didnt get demoted thankfully i was away only 11 days. i logged in and got a message saying i will be demoted in 2 days if i dont play.
