Loot tab not working for using any items

I bought a champion shard and when i tried to redeem it, I couldn't click it, restarting the client fixed this issue.

1. I opened the loot tab
2. Quickly started a queue as the loot error message showed up
3. clicked okay on the message
4. went back to the loot tab
5. Couldn't click on anything nor use or forge anything.

restarting the client was the only thing that worked.
