Twisted Fates Gold card not stunning

So in an ARAM game i would cue up and throw a gold card, this noticeably happened twice during my match. Both times they seemed to have shield on them, but then had no banshees veil. this is the match history it happened in http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/1871616545/451560 I tried it on both voli and jarvan with it failing on me.
