[CLIENT] Got stuck in load screen and couldn't start game

My friend and I were duoing and we both got stuck in the loading screen for the game for over 12 minutes. We both saw our ally Morgana loaded at 34% and the enemy Elise and unconnected. We do not live in the same area so we assumed that the game was still functioning correctly and just taking awhile. We eventually had a friend try to spectate us and he informed us that the game had been ongoing and we were the only ones not connected. I am not sure how to reproduce this issue, but it seems like a networking bug of some sort for duos/parties?
