[CLIENT] Spectator not allowing private messaging

I am unsure of how this happened, but I cannot access the chat bar in spectator mode. The chat box is still present but hitting Enter does not open the bar to type in. As a result, I am unable to private message my friends.

I am unsure of how it happened, but it started after I accidentally started typing without opening the chat, so the issue is most likely some hotkey or some combination of hotkey commands that disallowed my chat.

I have tried most of the hotkeys on the keyboard in hopes of finding the correct one, but I have not found a solution.
