Friends list completely black.

Same here, restarting PC did not fix. Anyone find a fix yet?

My whole friends tab is missing, it's just a blank, black spot on my client

update: when launching into a custom match during champion select, the messaging and quest tabs reappear, and seem to be functioning, even displaying the new event, however, when I left and returned to the client it was missing again, along with the rest of the friend-quest-messaging-event 'Social' tab. My guess is that the entire side "social" tab is drawn to the ui as 1 section, and there was some error with the new mecha event being linked to the quest tab, so when the function to update/draw the ui runs, it hits some kind of null-pointer exception or some other unresolveable error, thusly the script never completes, and the entire sidebar "social" UI never finishes; its not enough to crash the entire client or register with the client as an issue, since everything is programmatically operational - the ui and draw functions/scripts are just broken, which makes them undisplayable and uninteractable. thats my guess. idk tho.

I played yesterday and everything was fine. I log on today in my 1.5 hour window to play and I am greeted by a black friends bar so I can't duo. Very unimpressed that we are in Season 10 and we still don't have a solid client. ???

Riot hurry and fix ur client, this is annoying. I can't even duo or get invited to a game

Think I accidentally changed the same riot accounts name twice

same here, reinstalled twice, even after rebootings, clearing cache, emptying bin, refactoring, and repairing 3 times in client: nothing. can't even report it as a bug through the client because the 'report a bug' button is gone too lmao

ive had this game for 3 days like this i found that enabling low spec mode in settings and relaunching my game worked for me :)

I had the same problem, all i did was reinstall the game and login through the launcher Riot Games and not the League of legends one. Hope that will help

Same problem as above, the client yesterday said they fixed the friends list/chat

same for me, anyone has an idea how to fix this?

Guys just delete the client and download it again it worked for me (unlike that shitty repair)
