Tahm Kench Q+W (ranged swallow weirdness)

When you apply Q and W to do a ranged swallow on minions and monsters, there will be a weird stop on Tahm Kench. It has been there probably since the champion was released, it feels weird and I'm not sure if this is a bug.

Why are you doing a ranged swallow anyway, riot changed it so it costs full mana rather than refunding the cost of w.

And yes it always gives tahm a weird self cc, because he pulls them back with his tongue lash then he plays his devour animation.
