Pre-patch I was used to playing with around 100 FPS at an average, but since its release the game has became almost unplayable. The frame rate has dropped at a heavy rate thus making it a nightmare to really do anything whilst playing the game. I usually run it on medium settings but I have tried changing to the lowest as a test if the FPS would increase but it stayed at around 20.
Anyone else having this issue? Or just me?
I'm getting hard fps drops too. Can't teamfight. Never had any real problems like these before.

I'm not sure if this is related, but I and some of my friends have all noticed our games actually freezing completely at certain points. It's only started happening since the latest patch, and I am not sure if there's anything I can do to fix it. I've had packet loss before, and this looks similar to it, but it happens to everyone on the team at once. That means that it's server-related and not our own individual connections.
My FPS is usually around 180, but there are times since the patch that it's been dropping down to 100. It's not too big a problem for me, but another friend also has been experiencing the same problem. The difference is that he plays on a laptop that gets about 40 FPS on average. At one point, he said that his had dropped down to 8. Needless to say, he did not have much fun in that game.

Same here, and i just hit a new tier in ranked too. This lag makes me terrified to play in it, as i was winning 80% of my games, now I'm under 50. Bu my real question is....

I usually get a consistent 140~ but now it will start higher at the beginning (150-165) and then proceed to take a 40-50 frame drop, and when team fights occur, take another 40-ish drop. I actually had it drop to 43 frames today in the enemy base. That's literally a 100~ frame drop.

I'm having the same issue as well, here's the information I got from this new patch that makes my game run slow. TLDR at the bottom. Pardon any spelling or grammar errors but I tried to get as much of the problem I'm having down as possible.
) my ping skyrockets and if Bard or Sion is on the enemy team or in game I can barely play as Sion lags me to death (literally) and Bard's tunnel lags upon entering it. My ping as of this new patch is always at 65 or 72 and only changes when I'm loading in or lag out. It *doesn't show the right ping *and says my Frame rate is ok but it's not when I can't see anyone doing anything cause the game freezes in a team fight.I could play with my settings on low before this update. My computer is a laptop that is 2 years old Acer, and has good internet access even when my brother is downloading stuff. It's worked fine until the 5.5 update, after that my laptop has a hard time loading the launcher. The lag at the start of the game always has been there bu normally goes away by the 1 minute or 3 minute mark. But since this update the lag lasts until around 8 minute mark and comes and goes at random.

I lag, be him Top or jungle every time he uses his cleaver ground slam I lag, and get 4x stunned and cant do anything because of the laggy input for commands. He ults, everything freezes and I cant really do anything until he stops; **IF **I'm lucky I don't freeze but lag crapless as he chases my team mates down and I run from the fight that we coulda won IF I WASN'T LAGGING.
I played two ARAMS to test my stuff, settings, interface, etc, and that's how I found out lowering the settings helped a little bit. Instead of lagging 14 times a game and DC'ing 2 times a game or so I only lagged 3 times.
TLDR:
Avoid Sion (if he lags the game for you like he does for me)Have you seen any champs like Sion where if they're on the enemy team or in game you lag a lot since the new patch?

Mine have dropped from a steady 60 to 30 and in team fights, 15. I've been on a losing streak because I cant act as fast as before. I hope Riot sees this and fixes it. One second could mean a win or loss :/
Before 5.5 I would sit in the 100+ fps range and 30 ping. Now i barely get to 60 fps and my ping is relatively the same 80% of the time. I have built a new computer and that is what I'm playing on with the same gpu as the old one gtx 760. Now if I enter a team it just locks up. Everything in my new computer is far superior to my old one besides the gpu so wth?! I would play on very high settings now I have it on high unplayable. I refuse to play anything below high it is just pure stupid that i would have to with my computer and my old one running it fine. Old one died before 5.5 so i cannot talk whether it would run it fine now or not but It did. When i open league I log in and the minute i log in my whole computer freezes for about 20sec then I'm fine but the client picture do not appear the ones with all the news and showing what champs are free. This is absolutely ridiculous. WTH did you release to us riot a virus?
Yes. Each game I have a hard lag usually during team fights to where I cannot do anything and the next thing I know I'm dead. The last game I played, league crashed my computer. Its getting ridiculous.
my fps and pings are fine. But i start freezing (lagging) for no reason. Its happens 4 or 5 games out of 10. I lost many ranked games because of that. It really angers me. So please riot fix it.

Same here. I can't see the end game banner animation, because right as the games end bug splat pops up for me. I just played a game and it was freezing every few seconds. It was playable but not quite ideal for a ranked game. Right when the patch came out, I was dc'ing or sometimes I wouldn't even know the match started. For example the load screen would get stuck or in team builder it would be as if we were still searching for a match.
I'm having the same issue, before the new patch I was playing fine. Now I have a really bad FRS which creates a huge lag and freezing. I notice that my ping also got high, before I remember my ping being 16 and now I'm on 42. Before the patch I had no lagging or freezing issues, its just after the new patch, I started experiencing the lags and freezing. I've done all the tricks there is to do to make my ping lower. Cleaned my PC, delete other programs and games installed to I even did "cmd, regedit, bunch or YouTube aid to fix lags and have a better pin in LOL... Default my graphics card, unplug router, repair the patch, but I am still getting lags, my FRS goes as low as 02. Please help resolve this, it is very annoying. thanks!

I'm having the same problem, I can barely team fight anymore. I'm on the mac client, I'm not sure if that makes a difference.
I feel like i get more DC's for no reason. I have a great connection and never had a problem with it but now I get booted for no reason, ping goes way up and wont let me reconnect. this only happens before the game starts up and is rare but enough to bother me since I cant reconnect until a couple minutes into the game sometimes. my fps has never been more than 60 or less than 50 so i cant really relate there.

There are times the drop is so hard I can't even move. Tried reloading, but that never changed anything. Made me stop playing ranked for a while.
Yep, randomly throughout my match my fps dropped to around 30, on lowest settings, i tried disabling inked characters and im using it as a temp. fix for now.
My Normal FPS is usually 60 but after 5.5 its still the same but during teamfights...., it is lagging so hard that i can barely move, also ping rises and falls at random times so i'm wondering what is happening
my ping skyrockets HARD, can't get close to alot of minions or champs themselves without lagging. theres a small delay with every action i do, it's really not playable at all.

I've been getting this too, I can usually play between 250-200 fps but recently it's around 100~ with drops as low as 19.
I've been getting tons of bug splats, disconnects, lag issues, and frame rate drops since 5.4, actually, and have had a support ticket in for over a week with no resolution, and about 3-4 days response times. Getting fed up with this.
im not getting fps drops but client drops my fps and network is fine, but my client on league is lagging bad

Its getting worse and worse as i play now just had a game that fully crashed on 2 of my teammates plus me. we just kept having the screen freeze and say disconnected yet when we check back to wifi and out laptops everything is working fine. Ive noticed its even worse as the enemy team gets closer to my character the frames just get worse as well. I think thats duo to the issue of being connected live to other players but its gotten so bad some of my friends and me refuse to play until it is fixed or at least they put up a small warning for people on the side screen. I just don't want to get reported by teammates that don't understand whats happening with this
I have been having this problem too not sure whats happening but my system plays modded Skyrim at 60+ fps. I go play league and it peaks at 30 fps i have it set to cap at 60 fps and for the last month i haven't seen it go past 30 fps. The fps goes down when I'm in team fights and finally i have tried re-installing and turning down the settings nothing works. Finally my ping is usually around 40 so it's not that either.
AND THEN RITO GIVES YOU A AFK QUEUE BAN.. Yes this is ridiculous fix it rito
Having same problems here i had good fps 60-80 fps now im getting 30-20 and in my team fights droping to 20-10 idk whats happening like jesus due an my coputer is new.
Well, i have the same problem last patch my fps was like 100 but after the new patch and after moving from very high graphic to meduim my fps is 60 and cant team fight because of freezes which start when i team fight and my fps suddenly down to 20 in teamfights so.. any help? i have i5 proccesor and 6 giga ram btw i think that is good for LoL
I still have it. its when i start the game, and end it. Also at random times during the game my whole screen will just freeze completely. Extremely frustrating.

My frames just dropped to 08-15 now and won't go up due to the patch just released
I usually have a ping of 40-60 and now my league freezes or hangs on me in one spot for 3-10 seconds and its always early game and mid game and not very much late game. Any help on this? my settings are usually medium too.
I used to be able to play this game in the highest setting... Those were the days
I'm having same problem. From constant 120-160 fps it drops all the way down to 17 for a second. And then it goes back to normal. Its ruining my games, is there a reason for this happening?
i had 120 fps now i have about 50-60
It always drops for the first day or two after a new patch. It's like the server has to "settle in" or something. The biggest problem is that some of the newer champion abilities really slow down the game.

Is annoying i had 60 fps before these patches and now i play with 9-20 fps . Riot please do something for this.
you are not alone. i have the same rpoblem and many other people i met. also, the chat has a really big delay about 5 sec at least. it cant be ourpc but the server. before i went to my grandmum as vocation to be with my cousin, i runned lol at very high (enviroment and characters and spells) and shadows at low and fixed the fps to 120 and played with 80-60 when i fight. when i returned, i had to lower all of them and i could play with 40 fps 10 in fight. now it is a little better and i can play. just wait, deactivate inking and verycal sink, update your driver and w8 until riot does something for this. if the problem remains only at lol( most people cant play ONLY lol) make a report. if this problem is shown at every game, by a new graphic card i guess or a new cpu. i dont know, they must be heating up and causing this problem. and dont forget, at summer all pc's are getting lower because of the high temperatures. make a 
to your pc by deleting all unaccesary files like coockies. if nothing happens again, 
over the problem, lower all stats at very low and pretend you have the at very high. and remember,

i know how to fix. it freaking irritates me. all you have to do is cap your FPS. that's it. i was trying all sorts of crap and nothing. the game does some variable lag bs. just cap it. you're good to go. WU TANG FINANCIAL.
This shit has been happening to me since the new season. It drives me insane, never had issues before always super high with 200fps, then outta no where I start getting stutters and fps drops in fights to the 20s, it is so fucked. Makes it impossible to play anymore.
