[CLIENT] Unable to login to account on new client

I got updated to the new client and I'm now unable to login. I see the following error when I open the client:

Username or password is incorrect. Please try logging in again. If you have forgotten your password click here.

I'm unable to try logging in again, as soon as I click OK on the error the client closes and the click here link does not work.

It's not a credential issue since I was already logged in and working for days. I'm unable to change credentials or any client settings.

I was having this same issue, I right clicked the image on the task bar, clicked close and it lets me sign out even with the "Username and password" prompt still up. However, after this it brings me back to the new white sign in screen, I input the correct password and it goes past that screen meaning the password was indeed correct and the prompt still came up on the second screen forcing me to close out of league. The other day was the mass disconnect from games now we all can't even sign in. What is going on.

I let the client update, and now i cant even get the client to fully load. All i get is a blue box. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Might as well start playing a more reliable game. Rito isnt going to acknowledge the issue or anything for days probably. Especially if they are deleting posts off reddit about this issue. RIP

Temporary fix to revert to the old client (for Windows only):

Go to your League's installation directory (By default, it's usually "%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Riot Games") and there should be a new folder called "Riot Client". Open that folder and delete "RiotClientServices.exe". Then, launch the game using the old shortcut or by running "LeagueClient.exe" in "%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Riot Games\League of Legends".

If you get an error that says the game cannot find "RiotClientServices.exe" afterwards you might also have to delete "%ProgramData%\Riot Games"

same. uninstalled, reinstalled. logged into a friends account and got in just fine, tried with mine and got the error again?????

For real it will only let me on my main account and it wont let me get on my PBE account or my scrub account to play with my gf.

whenever I log onto my account, im not banned but it wont show my friends list and whenever I go to play a game and pick my roles it says "waiting for your team to pick their roles".

I'm having the same issue but only on my main account. I was able to log onto my old lvl 9 account but anytime I try logging on to my main I get "Username or Password is incorrect..."

Guys, if you're having trouble with the running of the client due to the "auto sign-in" feature. Here's a solution:

You have to be super quick, but when you run the client, once it starts running and you first see the icon loading in your task bar, quickly hover over, right click and x it. It will bring up the option to "exit" and "sign out" (remember you have to be fast)

It will still bring up the "Wrong username or password, blah blah blah" but when you rerun the client it should open as normal. (If you have a second account, you may be able to log on. I've tried myself, but still doesn't work.)
