Game Doesn't Load, Sent Directly to "Skip Waiting for Stats"

This has happened to me two or three times in the past week, which leads me to believe it is a new issue. I don't have much time to play this game, so when this happens, it is very frustrating. In short, sometimes when I join a queue, after a game is about to start (champion select ends and game should commence), I get a bugsplat error and I'm sent directly to "Skip Waiting for Stats" screen.

Restarting my client and logging back in only gives me another bugsplat and I am sent directly to the "Skip Waiting for Stats" screen yet again. This continues until what I presume is the end of the game. Just now it happened to me and now I am in the low priority queue as a result due to my "leaving and afk behavior."

As civilly as the situation deserves, that's bullshit. Not only am I unable to play the game for reasons I assume are out of my control (although if anyone has any solutions that have worked for them I'd be more than happy to hear them), but I am also being punished for behavior I have no intention of committing. I haven't left or afk'd in a game for longer than my memory goes with the sole exception of the two or three times this bug has occurred. Any Rioter that has access to information like this can see this.

If anyone has any information relevant to the topic I would very much appreciate your input.

I dunno bout the bugsplat but the skip waiting for stats issue is a bug that's been around since 8.4 with no fixes since it started except relogging to reconnect. I'd suggest contacting support about the bugsplats and maybe running a full repair in client through the cogwheel.

I now have a 20 minute low priority queue because it happened to me again, the next day, 2 games in a row. This is absolutely bonkers. Riot is demanding that in order to play their game, I have to throw away an hour and forty minutes of my life, as punishment for trying to play their game.

Not only this, but the frustration caused by this is likely to affect my in-game performance and mood in regards to interacting with my teammates. Seeing as I play ONLY ranked games in the little amount of time I have, that seems like a pretty big fucking deal.

The worst part is, I have no idea what is causing the issue, how to predict if the issue will occur, etc etc. I did full repair, tried updating my drivers, everything Riot tells you to do on their page when things like this happen. I've done everything I'm aware of that's within my power. As I type I'm waiting for the 20 minutes to go by before I get into the actual queue, and if it happens again, I actually may never gather the patience to play this game again. Which makes me very sad to say because I created this account in 2010 and have spent more money than I can or want to remember. Frankly, I was already on the edge of that fence but don't currently have other games that interest me. But if my queue penalty gets racked up any more, or I get banned, the game simply won't be worth the hard drive space.

I hate to resort to this kind of whining but as I've made clear, this issue is extremely frustrating and infuriating due to its seemingly out-of-my-control nature.

Not so patiently waiting for some pertinent information.

This has been happening to me and the only thing that works for me is to restart my PC. Relogging after quitting the client doesn't work for me. It's been occurring for several patches now.
