League lag spikes / freezes computer

I bought a new laptop yesterday. Its a brand new ASUS that is a 2 in 1. It is i7 and has 940 graphics. Everytime I played a game, the ping is like 30 but it lag spikes randomly at times. Sometimes during fights or just getting cs. then when I use task manager to close it, it freezes my entire computer and I cant use the icons on my lower screen. What is up?? should I get a new laptop?
