Unspecified error + cannot reinstall

So I downloaded the 4.21 patch this morning, leading to this message every time I tried to open LoL: "Unspecified error occurred. Please check the logs for more information."

I'm using a Macbook Pro. I moved the file from the Finder to the Applications folder, no success. My Internet works just fine, and no active Firewall.

I tried uninstalling the game and reinstall it, but when I click on the download icon, I can't seem to connect to the server using Chrome and I get the following message:

"The server at l3cdn.riotgames.com can't be found, because the DNS lookup failed. DNS is the network service that translates a website's name to its Internet address. This error is most often caused by having no connection to the Internet or a misconfigured network. It can also be caused by an unresponsive DNS server or a firewall preventing Google Chrome from accessing the network."

Same happens with Safari. Anyone knows what is going on?

Well it's happening to me too, and I use a normal PC, so whatever it is is blanketing a large number of people. Only difference is mine specifically states "Update has failed. Unspecified Error."

Just happened to me, i was just playing with some friends and they said they got their mystery gifts so i tried restarting my client to see if i got mine but then i was greeted with the error and so i spent a while looking for a fix but nothing worked. So now i guess we just have to wait? Amumu

same things happening 2 me. intill they fix it i cant play league cuz i uninstalled all my league stuff and tried 2 redownload it and.... well you know. hoping someone knows whats going on.
