Ashe takes 0 damage from Kalista autos

While I was in my last game, DJ SwagMeister as Kalista vs PuppyLeroyJr as Ashe, I autoed her 3 times while she was at 60ish hp. All 3 autos had the spear in the air. 2 of them hit her outright the split second they hit I lost vision on her. She took 0 damage from all 3 shots, even she noticed that she took no damage. 0 defensive summoners were used. No heals, no shields. Both PuppyLeroyJr and I saw himself, (herself in reference to Ashe), take no damage. Sooo if someone could explain what happened if it wasn't a bug. I thought damage still happened if you lost vision of a player. Especially on Kalista who FINISHED her hop, meaning the auto attack also finished.

They have a thing with Kalista that if she losses sight of her AA target the spear will not hit.

I thought damage still happened if you lost vision of a player

Normally this would be true. However,part of Kalista's passive is that if she loses sight of her target before her attack hits, the attack will miss and deal 0 damage. It doesn't matter if she completes her hop, she still needs vision of her target when the attack lands.
