Promotion series ended after 1 win and 2 losses

My friend Chihliangtw just got in promotion series today, and it mysteriously ended after he won one game and lost two games. There was a remaked game in his promotion series, and I wonder if that is a bug: apparently remaked games count as a loss? I hope someone could solver our confusion here.
