Item Set Champion Search

When I go to make an item set I want to make it specific to a certain champion. When I choose to do so I begin to type the desired champion's name into the search bar but it looks something like this:

ChampionTeemo Name

The gray text that is supposed to disappear does not. If I choose to delete the text "Champion Name" and search after doing that the champion's name I type is gray and does not filter through the list of champions.
