Jhin's mark to snare stayed on enemy vayne

during my last game i was jhin and during the match the enemy vayne had the mark from his w still on her the half of the game even tho there was no clear champs, or my traps hitting her and resulted in using it before somebody hit her and thus no snare, it happened just the one time so far
