Tahm Kench eating BUG

I just bought Tahm Kench and in 2 games I coudn't eat 2 allied champions: in the first game (normal blind pick) i couldn't eat Katarina, in the second one (coop) i couldn't eat Riven. There are no marks on allied champions so i can't explain why it didn't work
