Did not dodge champ select but still says abandoned game

I went into queue and had waited 9 minutes, thought it was weird it was taking so long and left to requeue. After 25 minutes of this the client suddenly said I had to wait 5 minutes because I abandoned a game but I never got to even click accept into a game, let alone see champ select. Then it happened a 2nd time and now I had to wait 15 minutes. Wthell is going on?
