Can't Ping Ult(On Katarina)

I happened to be playing a game of ARAM earlier today, and went to ping my ultimate to let my team know how long I had left before I could ult again. Whenever I would ping my ability while it was on cooldown, it would always tell me it would be Ready. Even after I had just used it, I would always see the message, "R: Ready", appear in chat
