Looking at challenger bracket causes your client to crash 5 mins later

Idk why this has happened ever since 9.7 but every time I look at the challenger bracket, not only can I not scroll passed 50 or so people before it snaps me back to the beginning but it also cause your client to get increasingly more laggy until it crashes about 5-7 minutes later.
