Regularly unable to join game after champion select

Usually after the first game I play, every or most games take 5+ minutes of restarting the client and attempting to reconnect to the game. After champion select ends, the black screen opens up and I either get stuck in limbo with the windows loading cursor or if I'm extra lucky I get the nonsense firewall error. There's seemingly no issue with my internet or computer since the game plays fine occasionally.
