Since the preseason 8 update I've been encountering a problem with my FPS. I used to run league at highest settings 144 FPS (because i capped it) no problem. Since the update however sometimes when I load into a game I got a stable 144 FPS for about 3 seconds and than it starts randomly dropping to 30 FPS or lower. I have tried reinstalling and repairing the league client. My PC should easily be able to handle it.
I have been having the same issue. I managed to notice that my game is running in borderless rather than fullscreen even when I have fullscreen enabled in video settings. How I know this is that alt-tabbing is the same speed in both. If I wasn't having this issue I am pretty sure my FPS would be completely fine yet I haven't been able to find out a solution to the problem.
This has been an issue since the 7.1 patch. However its still an issue! I have a computer built to play Battlefield and Battlefront on maximum setting and i can only run league on the lowest setting to get roughly 45-60 FPS that drops to like 10 FPS in team fights... Its horrid and Riot hasn't found the problem to fix it. Please fix this nonsense Riot. I want to buy skins but I refuse to until this issue gets sorted out.
Man, was so bad last match that I couldn't even play! It'll be 60 frames, but then drop to like 2fps in a matter of just walking then go back to 60fps randomly. It causes a stutter that's gotten me killed a few times now.
