CANT PING ITEMS FROM TAB

OK so i updated the client logged in andddddddddddd i cant ping items. Like is this a bug if it is then please fix it quickly i means its such an essential part of the game for me as communicating is hard enough as it is without me having to type out that the enemy carry now has a GA or stopwatch. I play adc and when theres a item difference in lane that i want my support to know about before i would just ping and now i have to type it or leave it which has an affect on my game as if they are are not aware of an item that the enemy team has or If i want to ping zhonyas cd or something to tell my team i cant. Its affecting how i communicate in game and making it harder to share information to my team So if anyone at riot could tell me if this is a bug or not would be much appreciated.
