Unable to join normal solo queue after patching 5.18

After the getting the additional patch on 5.18 yesterday on EUW, I had trouble logging in to the client firstly. I checked the NA forums and found out that if i un-check 'remember username' and retype it everytime i log in it works. But that's not the end of the problems. If I attempt to join a normal solo queue game, the client doesn't allow me to enter, in-fact it got me into champion select once and the timer was showing 70 seconds but every one else in the team appeared to have already been locked in. Furthermore by about 50 seconds remaining before it auto locks, it removes me from champion select and says i have been removed from queue for having not selected a champion. This is the first time it has happened. The rest of the time today, I have faced issues with joining normals queue, as it does not allow me to enter champion select and just says that 'i have been removed from the queue for having declined the game' or the 'Unknown error' message pops up. Please help, League is unplayable to me at the moment.
