Unable to control character pathing

During the loading screen I received a bug splat. I load into the game with only 15 seconds passed. I buy my items and as Sona support I clicked bot lane. I notice my champion's path headed right up mid to the enemies' nexus. No matter where I click on the minimap or screen it sends me to the same path, up middle to their nexus. I tried logging out so my champion would go back to base. Unfortunately, with the 5 seconds wait before you can dc, it was too late. I ran right into the outer tower and ahri AA me to get a kill 30 seconds into the game. After reloading, I was able to control my character just fine. I haven't had a bug splat this season, 30-40 games. I haven't ever had the pathing screw up like that on any season. I haven't noticed anyone else having any issue like this. Is there something I should watch for so it doesn't happen again?
