PVP.net Patcher Kernel has stopped working

I tried to uninstall and reinstall the client launcher to try to get it to update to the newest version, but all I get is that the PVP.net Patcher Kernel has stopped working. What the heck is a PVP.net Pacher Kernel and how do I fix this?

Usually, this is caused by a security conflict with Windows. Try running it in admin mode.
