Dodge Game, But It Starts [CLIENT]

It is as the title says, I am increasingly experiencing that when I close the game to dodge a game that I can see is lost from champ select then it doesnt do so and starts the game anyway, resulting in me getting either a leaver penalty or I end up having to play out the game from behind.

From experience then it goes that

1. I have picked my champion
2. The last person is about to decide on their champion
3. I click the X in the top right corner and click yes to exiting the client.
4. I then sometimes get it where the game is started when I log back in or I get a leaver penalty because I did not reconnect.
