Disconnected and unable to rejoin.

I was just disconnected form a game because my PC rebooted. When i logged back in after my PC rebooted, i received no message to join the game still in progress. I disconnected about 14 minutes into the game and logged back within 2 minutes, so i know the game is not over. Is this known to happen? i have never had this issue before.
