Lag spikes ( from an average of 30 to 500+ )

I'm not sure if this is where this discussion belongs, but I've recently started playing league again, and before my ping was always around 50 which was fine for me, and now when i came back it was an average of 20-30, since I live in Chicago so it made sense.

However, after i updated to the most recent patch, its been 200 avg and occasionally spikes up to 500 to 2300. The game is completely unplayable, I can't last hit, use abilities in time, or team fight for my life. Other players have also experienced this type of lag in game and I was wondering if a solutions been found yet? it's not my internet as i can play another game such as Crossfire, and use several other programs in the back while others also use netflix and etc in my house, and there is no lag in CF. However, League is constantly lagging for me and I've tried restarting my modem, shutting down almost everything in Task Manager, and it still has not worked. If there's a solution, please let me know, or if you're experiencing the same issue, please bump this.
