Getting a brown screen in game

Recently during this patch I have been getting a ugly brown screen randomly while playing. This has occured multiple times sometimes a couple times a game. When this happens I can still hear sounds and even voice chats like discord however nothing else on my pc works. Only way to escape this i have found so far is to hard restart which is really annoying for obvious reasons. Truth be told I'm not fully sure this is related to league but its the only time where this has occurred, any help would be appreciated.
