Black Screen after champ select, version 6.2, mac users

I have found a temporary solution to this issue, after reading extensively in these boards, searching youtube, and simply googling the problem. For some reason, pressing shift + enter allows you to begin loading into the game. Hopefully this continues to work until the bug is fixed, I re-downloaded the game 4 times, and created a new account to test out this theory, (being that my other account now has a 20min afk ban because of the glitch)

Riot please take a look into this, a small patch, or instructional guide for us would go a long way.

the shift + enter doesn't work for me... but i have the same issue. I get through champ select, but then as the game is loading the screen stays black and I have to press command + option + esc to get out. the client reports that the game has crashed... wow I know. I just want to play some lol, but no it keeps crashing. This cost me a ranked game and riot even took away LP. i was at 96 and went down to 86. It wasn't my fault their game crashed. anyway, I hope someone fixes this soon. I have been tilt gg wp

I just started having this issue with 6.2. I tried to reinstall but it did not work. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS! I held shift and enter for a good 20 seconds and it somehow started the loading screen after boop boop booping with the audio. I got in so thank you for this solution.

my friend has this problem and I really want to duo ranked, this glitch cost me one of my placement matches

I was having the issue in custom also. Maybe try the holding of Shift-Enter in those games so you don't mess up a real match. Now that I did the shift-enter, it's no longer black and loads fine now. Good luck I feel your frustration. Thank you ValiantStalker for posting this.
