Is Something Wrong With the League Anniversary Gifts

For some reason, even though I played a game, my rewards aren't working. There's a little error symbol that says that they will only work on accounts created before the big announcement day but that doesn't make sense since I created my account more than a year ago. Does anyone know whats happening?

Note: I created the account more than a year ago but I just downloaded league today on my new laptop and logged in. Does it count the downloading of the game as an account created after October 15?
