Champion mastery bug

I went 17/2 and got A+, my friend who had 13k less damage and was going 11/7 got S- RITO PLS.

Unless I'm missing the point and having 40 farm more is the way to get s+'s?

But seriously what is the problem with the grading :/ is it gonna get fixed?

Master is a relative term, to be a very skilled player requires lesser skilled players as a comparison. Getting 17 kills doesn't make you a master, because being a master is relative to the skill of other players who also use that champion. If every Azir player gets 15+ kills per game, then getting 17 kills doesn't make you a master. I believe champion mastery grades you based on your champion performance relative to other players around your MMR who also use that champion. Getting an A+ means that you're quite skilled with Azir relative to others around your MMR, but you're not the best, at least not when regarding just that one game.
