Mac Patch 4.18 0 KBPS

(Mac 10.9.2) Ok, so the same thing has been happening to me with patches 4.15, 4.16, 4.17, and now, 4.18.

What happens is that I will be downloading the new patch, just wanting to play some LoL, when I see the patching screen. I automatically think, "Oh no."

For previous patches that gave me trouble, by going to 0 kbps, I found the solution within old threads and it was to open Activity Monitor(you can find it by going to "find..." in the finder menu) and then, UserKernel would be "Not Responding." Then I would double click UserKernel, force quit it, change my region, change it back, and I was good to go.

4.18 is different.

I have been trying to patch for days, I think 3. I have redowloaded it multiple times, uninstalled, restarted, quitted user kernel, etc...

Nothing.

Anyone got a solution?

When i download the patch update, it usually goes to 0kbps for 20-30 minutes. I think the reason is that the game is downloading really small files and it cant speed up because it has to keep switching between the files to update. But after about 20-30 minutes the download time speeds up again and the rest should download quicker

i had that same problem when downloading the game on a computer that was just updated to the minimum osx that can run league. after a while at 0 kbps at 87% it randomly finished downloading. when i actually got in to some games, certain actions (dragon death, killing a large jungle monster, ulting, recalling, mousing over the death recap bar, random kills in other lanes, etc.) resulted in display issues and the 500 ping reconnect error even though my pings were normal until the reconnect message showed up.

I waited and let it go all night but that didn't work! It got to 99 percent and then said there was an error. Many people are having this issue and I have tried almost every possible way out there but I am trying another one right now... apparently the actual League of Legends team doesn't care because this has been going on for a long time.

i had it happen plenty of times and it always eventually just worked for me. I hit an error maybe one time in 3 when it would take forever. dont bother repairing, thats a waste of time. i'd say just restart your mac and try again.

run patch updater in safe mode works perfectly.
