FPS is high at the beginning of the match then drops?

Hey guys, So at the beginning of every game on Summoners Rift, my fps is pretty high, like 350-400 or so. However, once minions spawn and the match starts, the fps drops too the 100-200 fps range. It doesn't make any difference for me but I was wondering what's going on and is it only happening to me?
