Zac passive and 5th drag

I just played a game where we were getting our 5th drag. While getting the drag a fight broke out and my passive was popped. We won the fight and got the drag but my team got the drag while I was still in my passive and when i recombined I didn't have the 5th drag. Being in passive doesn't count as being dead shouldn't you get the 5th drag buff. Has anyone else seen this?
